Lantmännen Selects Optilon for Service Optimization

Optilon and Lantmännen have signed a strategic deal within the area of service optimization. The deal includes licenses as well as projects for implementation of forecasting and inventory optimization.

The division Lantmännen Unibake will go out first to implement the application SO99AX (Service Optimizer), with world leading technology from Optilon’s partner ToolsGroup. The implementation is initiated in the Danish section of Unibake and benefits from the standard integration solution developed for costumers with the business system Microsoft Dynamics AX. SO99AX has a unique approach to model demand. The application uses these models to generate automatic prognoses that later can be completed with further market effects such as promotion, product phase in or out. Mathematical optimization then generates safety stock levels for each combination of article inventories in a way that the company’s strategic goals concerning service level is attained with as minimal inventory investment as possible

The prime goal for the project is to rationalize the forecasting process, increase the accuracy and foremost reach high and constant service levels with as small amount of tied-up capital as possible.
