Working closely with universities, research, and educational institutions provides strength to our customers, partners and our own continual development.

Thanks to our dialog with leading scientists as well as support of research projects, we take an active part in the development of future Supply Chain Management and Advanced Planning Systems. Our consultants are also involved in ongoing education by regularly participating in lessons, workshops, and research conferences.

In 2007, we became one of the main sponsor of the research project ISCAPS (Integrating the Supply Chain employing Advanced Planning Systems). The project is a collaboration between Chalmers and Linköping Technical University. The idea behind the project is to analyze how Advanced Planning Systems (APS) can handle process integration within the Supply Chain. Read more about ISCAPS

An opportunity for students

Students also have the opportunity to work on thesis projects with Optilon. One recent example was a project within Supply Chain Network Design, which was completed in cooperation with the company Lantmännen. The title of the thesis project is: "Network Design from a Cost and Environmental Perspective - a Case Study at Lantmännen."
